Lead: Natural Occurrence, Toxicity to Organisms and Bioremediation by Lead-degrading Bacteria: A Comprehensive Review

چکیده
Heavy metals (HMs) are widespread and vital to life, but their accumulation in organisms can be hazardous. Lead (Pb) has lately attracted considerable attention due its devastating impacts on the environment human health, such as ability produce neurodevelopmental disorders children even at low exposure levels. Cardiovascular, renal, digestive, hematological, reproductive consequences exist. The current review sheds light familiar sources of HMs, ecological hazards, most common types with particular reference Pb, natural artificial sources, physical chemical characteristics, environmental health control strategies using different approaches remediation through (physical, biological strategies), microorganism-assisted bacteria advantages limitation each approach. Through this review, we introduce a solution eliminating problem Pb toxicity & food chain endophytes bacteria, it high efficiency treating lead toxicity. presentation will show mechanism these microbes

Lead toxicity: a review
Lead toxicity is an important environmental disease and its effects on the human body are devastating. There is almost no function in the human body which is not affected by lead toxicity. Though in countries like US and Canada the use of lead has been controlled up to a certain extent, it is still used vehemently in the developing countries. This is primarily because lead bears unique physical...

During the past 20 years considerable attention has been focused on the epidemiologic features of childhood lead poisoning in the United States. Large numbers of children with symptomatic intoxication, as well as those with incipient symptoms, were commonplace a decade ago for physicians working in inner-city hospitals. With the recent availability of improved screening techniques, as well as a...

Adverse effects of lead on human health have been recognized for centuries. Nevertheless , current public health measures require a greater understanding of the pathobiology of chronic low level exposure (1-3). Such considerations are related to the question of what level of lead intake is harmful and why specific clinical manifestations of lead poisoning are encountered under particular circum...

Dra. Mariana Spitz – Rua Paulo César de Andrade 200/402 22221-090 Rio de Janeiro RJ Brasil. E-mail: [email protected] Firearm projectiles have been described, albeit rarely, as a cause of lead toxicity. The usual route of lead exposure is oral ingestion, but toxicity secondary to retained bullet fragments has been well documented. Switz et al. described the first case in 1976 – a bullet wa...
